I am a versatile creative professional deeply passionate about visual storytelling, photography, and production. My journey started at UtterBooks, where I contributed to marketing and website design, nurturing my love for creativity. At University, my role as a photographer & videographer at Noughts & Crosses ignited my passion for videography.
Returning to UtterBooks as Head of Content, I managed social media and website development, also venturing into digital marketing campaigns and short film production. My journey continued at Sharp Focus, where I served as a Production Assistant before evolving into a Lead Camera Operator and Editor, honing my visual storytelling skills over three impactful years.
More recently I spent 3 weeks on a sailing expedition to the Faroe Islands where I was creating a film titled, ‘Fracture: A Question for Humanity’, alongside five artists and five scientists which challenged my ability to create a visually captivating story in difficult and remote conditions.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Human Geography from the University of Exeter, complemented by certifications in advanced video editing and digital marketing strategy. Beyond skills, my dedication to storytelling defines me. I am a dynamic creative, constantly seeking innovative ways to captivate audiences through the lens.
EXPERIENCE
Photographic assistant/website designer, utterbooks, Norfolk — July-august 2016-2017
I started working for UtterBooks, a start-up in Norfolk, part time during my summers away from university. Being a small company and one of the only employees my job roles were incredibly diverse. Among other things, I was heavily involved in the marketing of the business, as well as designing the website and developing the brand identity.
Photographer, videographer & editor, Noughts and Crosses, Exeter — 2017
During my time at university I worked as the photographer and videographer for a bi-monthly event called Noughts and Crosses. Where I began to develop my passion for videography and video editing. I was in charge of all media content for the event, helping them with their digital marketing.
Marketing Manager/HEAD OF CONTENT, Utterbooks, Norfolk — September-February 2019-2020
I returned from Canada and continued working for UtterBooks. Because of my past experience with the company I was put in charge of all marketing aspects of the company, including running all their social media accounts and the continued development of the website. I also filmed and edited any and all of the digital marketing campaign videos for the company. From this I was asked to film and edit a short film for the company, ‘Finding Emerson’.
Production Assistant, Sharp Focus, London — March 2020-August 2020
In March 2020 I joined a sports production company based in South London. Our clients included the main governing bodies of sport within the UK such as the English Cricket Board (ECB), the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), the Football Association (FA), the International Cricket Council (ICC), the International Hockey Federation (FIH), and UK Sport. We were focused mainly on high performance coaching and would create short form, documentary style videos. As a Production Assistant at a small yet dynamic sports production company, I played a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of video projects, wearing the hats of both a videographer and editor. During my tenure, I contributed significantly to various aspects of the production process, showcasing versatility and a strong work ethic:
Videography: I actively participated in on-site video shoots, demonstrating a keen eye for capturing pivotal moments and ensuring optimal camera setups and angles. This hands-on experience allowed me to adapt to fast-paced sporting events while maintaining a high standard of visual quality.
Editing: My proficiency in video editing software enabled me to create engaging highlight reels, promotional content, event coverage, and interviews. I meticulously curated and assembled footage to tell compelling stories, enhancing the overall impact of our productions.
Collaborative Teamwork: Working closely with a small team, I thrived in a collaborative environment, contributing ideas and solutions that improved project outcomes.
Client Interaction: I liaised with clients to understand their specific requirements, maintaining open lines of communication to ensure their visions were met and exceeded.
Lead Camera OPERATOR & eDITOR/PRODUCTION EXECUTIVE, Sharp Focus, London — August 2020 - August 2023
Building upon my foundational experience as a Production Assistant, I continued to thrive at Sharp Focus for an additional three years, during which I assumed the roles of Lead Camera Operator and Editor. This tenure marked a significant phase in my professional journey, characterised by an even deeper immersion in the world of visual storytelling and production.
As the Lead Camera Operator, I assumed primary responsibility for overseeing all aspects of on-site video shoots. My proficiency in camera operation expanded to encompass a wide range of equipment, ensuring optimal shots and perspectives that enhanced the visual appeal of our productions. I continuously sought innovative techniques and angles to elevate our content.
My role as the Editor allowed me to further refine my post-production skills. I took the lead in crafting engaging narratives from raw footage, integrating sound, graphics, and effects to create impactful videos.
As a seasoned team member, I transitioned into a leadership position, taking charge of project planning and execution. My role involved supervising and mentoring junior team members, ensuring that our productions ran smoothly and efficiently, even under tight deadlines.
I continued to foster strong client relationships, becoming a trusted point of contact. My ability to comprehend and execute client visions became a key asset, enabling us to deliver tailored solutions that met and exceeded expectations.

In addition to my roles at established companies, I have undertaken various freelance jobs over the last couple of years, showcasing my skills in both photography and videography.

Save Our Scene UK
During 2021, in protest to the government's lack of support to the hospitality and music industry, the Save Our Scene movement was born. I was tasked with documenting their inaugural large-scale event, which saw tens of thousands converging on the streets of London to champion industry support. I found myself thrust into a novel environment. The experience not only captivated me but also presented refreshing challenges that expanded my horizons.

Original Errant
I spent three weeks on board a historic fishing vessel, The Excelsior, sailing from the Orkney Islands, to there Faroe Islands, and on to the Shetland Islands creating a film titled ‘Fracture: A question for Humanity. During the voyage I was tasked with capturing visual striking imagery in challenging conditions, as well as constructing a narrative through interviews with the 12 participants who were seeking to unpack the word ‘fracture’ in relation to both the environment and impact of human influence.(ongoing relationship).
These freelance experiences have not only allowed me to diversify my portfolio but also reinforce my commitment to delivering high-quality visuals and storytelling in a wide range of settings and contexts.
